Our story

It began in 1920 when a tool and die maker thought there was a better way to manufacture a Christmas ornament hook. William Dudek designed and built his first fourslide machine to do just that and started producing parts in his home’s garage. His hard work and simple philosophy of cash not credit guided the company through the depression into a period of growth. From the 40’s thru the 70’s wm dudek mfg took advantage of the innovations, that were occurring in fourslide design, and began producing stampings in addition to wire forms. Finding a niche in the electrical and electronics industries supplying high precision non-ferrous components kept wm dudek mfg growing. During the 70’s wm dudek mfg found itself supplying components to a small local manufacturer of barbque grills with an innovative design. Today Weber Stephen Products manufactures the trademark kettle grill that has changed, forever, the way people cook outdoors. It was 1985 when the current president, William Dudek, met a few purchasing and engineering people from two promising companies, Dell and Compaq computer. The PC revolution of the 80’s and 90’s fueled the next growth spurt for the company and positioned it well for the new millennium. Today wm dudek mfg uses the expertise gathered over the past 80+ years, which started with a simple Christmas ornament hook, and provides product to fortune 500 companies and exports to customers around the globe.
